About the event
Chronic stressors contribute to an overwhelming number of health issues in black women. The intersectionality of being Black and a woman result in unique stressful experiences for Black women.
Black women are often expected to embody strength and resilience, leaving little room for vulnerability or rest. The Super Woman Schema and Sojourner Syndrome have too frequently been associated with expectations of Black women. Although Black women are relied on heavily in American society, negative stereotypes and acculturative expectations supersede their contributions.
Join us on March 10, 2025 with Lotus La Loba—a Certified Master Meditation Facilitator, Trauma-Informed Practitioner, and Energy Psychology Guide who has dedicated my work to creating sacred spaces for Black women to rest, restore, and reclaim themselves fully. Her approach is deeply rooted in somatic healing, EFT tapping, and ancient wellness traditions—not just as tools but as portals back to the truth of who we are.
